Hans & Leslie Weiss have lived in Bend
since 1983 owning a successful bakery/café in downtown Bend. Han’s
Restaurant is now in the capable hands of daughter Heidi Weiss. Prior to
moving to Bend, they lived on the Big Island of Hawaii where Hans was
Pastry Chef at the world-famous Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, and for several
years both managed the horseback riding stables for the hotel.
Having shared our lives with many dogs (usually adopted), cats, birds,
fish, rabbits and horses, we are
comfortable with the role of animal caretakers. Currently, our pet
companions are a Viszula (Kyro), a young whippet (Jake) and a beautiful
yellow stubby- tailed cat (Spencer).
Our horse experience is wide-ranging, from the show ring (Western &
English, Quarter Horse, Paint & Thoroughbred) to trail riding, including
camping with horses. We have bred and raised a number of our horses and
understand the personal
discipline and commitment that caring for horses involves.
Animals are our passion, and we can’t think of a better way to spend our
day than keeping your pets healthy and happy when you can’t be there.
